What is a Signal?
A Cralgo Signal is an observation, pattern, shift or emerging condition that appears worthy of deeper exploration. The definition, the method behind it and how a Signal invites research and collaboration.
The Cralgo method
A Cralgo Signal is an observation, pattern, shift, emerging condition or question that appears worthy of deeper attention.
Every Signal begins with something worth noticing.
Observation → Reflection → Signal → Exploration → Learning
Inside a Signal
Every Signal holds the same seven questions.
01Observation
What are we seeing?
02Reflection
What could it be revealing?
03Questions
What becomes interesting to explore?
04Context
Where are we seeing this?
05Connected threads
What other ideas does it connect with?
06Invitation
Who may bring a valuable perspective?
07Learning
What are we discovering as the Signal evolves?
How a Signal moves
Observation begins the movement. Learning returns to reflection.
01Observe
02Reflect
03Signal
04Invite
05Explore
06Learn
07Reflect again
Learning returns to reflection
The loop does not turn an observation into a conclusion. Each movement adds context: reflection tests the first interpretation, invitation brings other perspectives, and exploration creates new observations.
One Signal can take many paths. It may become a paper, a field enquiry, a working group, an experiment or an application. Learning returns to the shared record and may surface a new Signal.
Status
A Signal is allowed to change.
Each Signal carries a status so its current state stays honest.
- Emerging
- Open Signal
- Under Exploration
- Researching
- Evolving
- Learning
- Reflecting
A Signal may stay emerging for a long time. It may open for participation, move into research, or quietly evolve as more is understood. None of these are conclusions.

The paper behind the method.
Paper 001 carries this explanation further: how an observation becomes reflection, how reflection surfaces a Signal, and how a Signal can invite wider exploration.

Founding
Cralgo was founded in 2025 by Anil Kabir Kumar. Legal entity: Cralgo Innovations (OPC) Private Limited, incorporated 27 June 2025.
The three lenses
Psychology — how people perceive, decide and behave. Technology — what the system makes possible or constrains. Organisations — what conditions shape action. Outcomes emerge from their interaction.
Research — the questions underneath the work
Collaborative investigation with organisations, universities, practitioners and the people a question affects. Commissioned research is disclosed as such.
Beyond — questions Cralgo carries on its own account
Beyond describes the origin of a question: one Cralgo carries independently, or around a public-purpose context.
