The question
When a consumer business grows quickly, does execution slow because of effort and capability, or because the organisation no longer shares one reading of its own situation?
The context
A consumer commerce organisation scaling across channels, with Product and Technology having to keep pace with volume, partners and increasing operating complexity. Teams were experienced and busy; the environment was live and could not be paused.
What entered the situation
Cralgo participates inside the live environment alongside leadership, internal teams and existing partners. Attention went first to what was actually being decided, how quickly, and whether the decisions stayed made — read in the organisation's own rhythm rather than against an external model. Building and delivery remained with the organisation's own teams.
What became visible
Coordination, not capability, was where time was being spent. The same question was being re-decided in different rooms, and several functions held a defensible but different version of the same picture.
What emerged
Still unfolding. What is observable so far is a narrower set of contested readings and capability that remains inside the organisation rather than with an outside team.
What it changed in our understanding
Where the same decision recurs, the useful question is usually about ownership and shared reading, not about effort.
Still open
Whether the shared reading persists as the organisation adds channels and partners, and how much of it depends on particular individuals.
One situation is one environment answering one question. What recurs across situations is read at the Evidence level, and the questions themselves belong to Research.
