Evidence status

Early evidence

What this record can and cannot claim

Mixed evidence: observable change in release behaviour, but no controlled comparison. Causality is not claimed.

The question

When commercial decisions feel expensive, how much of that cost belongs to the architecture rather than to the decision?

The context

A platform that predated the organisation's current scale, carrying accumulated coupling. Revenue was in flight, the roadmap was active, and the team could not be paused.

What entered the situation

The capabilities the business actually required were separated from what the platform happened to be, and the sequence of change was ordered by commercial dependency rather than technical preference. Services were introduced incrementally behind a routing layer; nothing was rebuilt for its own sake.

What became visible

Changes that had previously required a deep change began to be made at the surface. Initiatives that had been described internally as too expensive to attempt started to be attempted.

What emerged

Release behaviour changed and debt began to be retired rather than only accumulated. It is early, and part of the change coincided with team and process changes made at the same time.

What it cost

Independence between services reduced the cost of change and increased the number of moving parts to operate and observe.

What it changed in our understanding

What looked like reluctance to decide was partly a property of the architecture. Architecture determines how easily an organisation can change its mind.

Still open

Whether the incremental approach holds as the remaining responsibilities are the harder ones, and whether the new boundaries stay honest under delivery pressure.

One situation is one environment answering one question. What recurs across situations is read at the Evidence level, and the questions themselves belong to Research.

Founding

Cralgo was founded in 2025 by Anil Kabir Kumar. Legal entity: Cralgo Innovations (OPC) Private Limited, incorporated 27 June 2025.

The three lenses

Psychology — how people perceive, decide and behave. Technology — what the system makes possible or constrains. Organisations — what conditions shape action. Outcomes emerge from their interaction.

Research — the questions underneath the work

Collaborative investigation with organisations, universities, practitioners and the people a question affects. Commissioned research is disclosed as such.

Beyond — questions Cralgo carries on its own account

Beyond describes the origin of a question: one Cralgo carries independently, or around a public-purpose context.

Working together — the belief behind all of it

Listening before concluding, room for different perspectives, useful disagreement, and evidence that still matters.
